Archbishop of Monterrey calls on political parties to watch out for 'drug politics'
Related articles:
.- The Archbishop of Monterrey, Cardinal Francisco Robles Ortega, called on the country’s political parties and organizations to take action to avoid infiltration in their ranks by drug traders. According to the cardinal, all political parties are susceptible to being invaded by “drug politics,” and therefore he encouraged the creation of laws to prevent this situation. As the new election season opens amidst a feeling of insecurity in the country, Cardinal Robles said, “A risk that all parties, all political parties and the entire political world has is that of becoming a key place where drug trafficking can penetrate.” He called for solutions that get at the root of the problem and measures that would prevent and punish such influence.
