Altar boys to hand out Pope’s favorite cookie in preparation for September visit

.- A group of altar boys from the Bavarian city of Ratisbona have come up with a curious plan to promote Pope Benedict XVI’s visit to Germany, scheduled to take place in just under 50 days. Lived in Germany for a long while and I never heard of Hannukah wafers - sounds more like Hanuta hazelnut sandwiches to me:

I know the cookie! Is actually a waffer the German s call "Hannukah waffer," filled with a hazelnut cream. He really has good taste!

This is a cute and appropriate idea. For those who worry about a cult of personality, I would suggest that cookies give the matter the correct amount of gravity. Bavarians love desserts, you know.
