.- During a interview on PBS, the founder of CNN, Ted Turner, said the reason for climate change is because âWe're too many peopleâ and that the government needs to âstabilize the populationâ with measures such as Chinaâs one child per family policy.
According to Lifesitenews.com, Turner made his statements during an interview on the Charlie Rose Program on PBS on April 1. He said that after nuclear disarmament, the most important issue is âglobal climate change. We're too many people. That's why we have global warming,â he claimed.
Turner, who praises the Chinese governmentâs one child per family policy, said, â"We've got to stabilize population. On a voluntary basis, everybody in the world's got to pledge to themselves that one or two children is it."
"We'll be eight degrees hotter in ten, not ten but 30 or 40 years and basically none of the crops will grow,â the CNN founder claimed. âMost of the people will have died and the rest of us will be cannibals. Civilization will have broken down. The few people left will be living in a failed state -- like Somalia or Sudan -- and living conditions will be intolerable,â he said.
âWe've got to stop doing the two suicidal things, which are hanging on to our nuclear weapons and after that we've got to stabilize the population," he claimed.
