.- The largest pro-life organization in the United States honored Norberto Cardinal Rivera Carrera today with the Guardian of Truth Award “for his unwavering support to protect human life.”
The American Life League conferred the award to the cardinal at a press conference, where it also unveiled a full-page local newspaper ad, honoring the cardinal and all the Mexican bishops for their firm defense of innocent unborn children.
The award was conferred within the framework of the 48th International Eucharistic Congress, taking place in Guadalajara this week.
"The Mexican bishops, under the leadership of Norberto Cardinal Rivera Carrera, have been very strong in their support to protect human life," said Judie Brown, president of American Life League. "These honorable men truly serve as an example to bishops and Church laity around the world."
