.- The national director of Priests for Life praised two bishops who have issued policies that prohibit pro-abortion speakers and politicians from speaking at Church-sponsored events or on church property. Bishops Thomas Olmsted of Phoenix and Jerome Listecki of LaCrosse, Wisconsin, issued similar decisions recently.
"This is about more than defending the integrity of Catholic teaching," said Fr. Frank Pavone, Priests for Life national director. "It's about opposing an act of violence that cuts across and transcends all religious beliefs."
