Cardinal Sodano appointed Pope's delegate to Fatima
Vatican City, May 7, 2007 / 11:34 am (CNA).- Pope Benedict XVI has appointed Cardinal Angelo Sodano, dean of the College of Cardinals, as his legate to the solemn opening celebrations marking the 90th anniversary of the apparition of Our Lady at Fatima in Portugal.
The event is due to be held in Fatima on May 12 and 13, while the Pontiff will be in Brazil, to inaugurate the V General Conference of Latin American Bishops.
