Deal Hudson gets Rev. John Hagee’s real opinion of Catholicism
Related articles:
.- Reverend John Hagee has been in the news over the last month for his endorsement of presidential candidate John McCain and alleged anti-Catholic comments. In an effort to get to the bottom of the controversy, Catholic political analyst Deal Hudson has interviewed Rev. Hagee about claims that he is anti-Catholic. On March 13, following allegations of anti-Catholicism, Hagee released a statement denying the accusations. In his rebuttal he said that his teachings had been “grossly mischaracterized” and that “I am not now, nor have I ever been anti-Catholic”. This past Friday, Catholic political analyst Deal Hudson, met with Rev. John Hagee for three hours to discover what his views on Catholicism really are. The interview with Hagee, called "A Meeting with Rev. John Hagee" will be published at www.InsideCatholic.com on Tuesday morning. During the interview, Hagee speaks freely about his interpretation of the "Great Whore" from the Book of Revelation and also comments on anti-Semitism in the Catholic Church. Subscriber comments:

Having visited Hagee's official site, I find it difficult to reconcile what came out of Hagee's interview with his site. Ssomething just seems very out of sinc. If a statement is made why should one have to say after wardswhat I really meant was something else. It all appears too bizarre. If Hagee is really sincere - and he may be since it appears he has been veery misinformed he has a lot recanting to do and a total re-do of his web site. So far his stance appears quite an enigma.

I have two friends who were former youth pastors at Hagee's Church and now both of them have left because of Hagee tirades against the Catholic Church. Both of my friends were Evangelicals, and now one is Orthodox and the other is Anglican which I tell them is one step closer to being Catholic. I think they are only a few years away from reaching their end goal, which is being in the Church that Christ founded.
I hope God someday says to him in a dream or better yet, in real life,"Hagee, Hagee why do you persecute me?" You see Hagee thinks he is like Saint Paul, so God please give him a Pauline wake up call. Thank you Jesus for always protecting your Church with the power of the Holy Spirit. I hope Hagee someday sees the light and becomes Catholic! I do think though his attachment to his money is much greater than his desire to seek Truth.

Evangelical protestants here in Texas frequently go in droves down to Mexico to convert catholics. When I ask what the point is in converting from one form of christianity to another, they tell me that they have to save souls from that great whore, the catholic church. Hagee and his followers aren't being honest in their views of catholics. Donahue is correct.
