New movie about Our Lady of Fatima to be screened in major U.S. cities

.- A new film about the apparitions of Our Lady of Fatima, based on the memoirs of visionary Sister Lucia and the accounts of thousands of eyewitnesses, will be holding pre-release screenings in at least seven major U.S. cities. “The 13th Day” is the first major motion picture by directors Ian and Dominic Higgins. According to the film’s U.S. distributor Ignatius Press, their film tells the story of the Virgin Mary’s appearances to Lucia Santos and her cousins Francisco and Jacinta Marto. Over a six month period in 1917, the Virgin Mary gave prophecies and warnings to children that included a harrowing vision of hell, the spread of communism and the attempted assassination of a Pope. The film was shot on location in Portugal and in the United Kingdom. It has a cast of hundreds and three young Portuguese actors will play the roles of the young visionaries. Anthony Ryan, Director of Marketing for Ignatius Press, described the film as an “antidote” for our times. Screenings of “The 13th Day” are scheduled for October 13, the anniversary of the final apparition. They will be held in Atlanta, New York City, Denver, Chicago and Oakland. Other cities with screenings include Orlando, Florida and Austin and Fort Worth, Texas. The film, which may be very excited you are likely very interesting. The problem however is what shows. Much of the Christian world believes that Mary is truly the one that appeared in 1917 the three children. Only the Bible says the dead know nothing:
Ecclesiastes 9:5
5. For the living know that they shall die: but the dead know not any thing, neither have they any more a reward; for the memory of them is forgotten.
Once they know nothing, how can Mary be the one that appeared on the children?
Vel said that the dead will be awakened to life only when the Second Coming:
1 Thessalonians 4:16. For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first:
And the Lord Jesus Christ is no less clear:
John 5:28. Marvel not at this: for the hour is coming, in the which all that are in the graves shall hear his voice,
29. And shall come forth; they that have done good, unto the resurrection of life; and they that have done evil, unto the resurrection of damnation.

The Fatima apparitions warns of a Third World War which will be led by two opposing forces, the West vs. East, or simply US & allies vs. Russia & allies. Same warning was given in Garabandal apparitions. There is no sense in believing that the third secret has been fulfilled, otherwise, we should be in peace right now.

People such as Ceasar have to learn to write about approved events in Sacred history more accurately. Apostolic authority has said other than he. His comments are disingenuous and cynical--as if Heaven could not prove otherwise, which it did in the Great Sun Miracle. His "doubts" are simple speculation on his part. The Fatima Facts remain the truth, as Fatima is considered by many scholars as not only authentic, including the predictions made, but the Greatest Turning point for the Church and for all sinners and the the Faithful since the Resurrection!

We might question, on the word of a 10 year old girl should we take this whole apparition and then you will say, there are 70,000 witnesses to the Miracle of the Sun. I do find that that makes for credible evidence.
1917, year of the Apparitions.
The Seers are told the war will end soon, but if many does not repent and honor the Sacred Heart of Jesus and the Immaculate Heart of Mary, a worst war will come and the Seers are told Russia will spread it's errors.
1923 BUT I don't believe the timeline tells us the messages are not released to the public until 1923, some of these events have then happened by then.
1929 or 32, this is the year, the Apparition is approved, I forget which.
1942, Lucia has another apparition. She sees the Trinity.
Throughout the years, the wording of the Secrets has changed some and been finetuned.
More credible evidence than none but still there is some room for doubt. I think the Vatican has found that as well. No reason to put all of ones eggs in one basket. I think the Vatican realizes this.
It is pitiful to bring the likes of Gruner into this. People pushing their own agendas here though sincere contributions are welcome.
Of course, JPII saved on October 13th as well as the Light in the sky per 1938 or 1939, both are mentioned is more credible evidence.

Pope John Paul II is not the Pope of the Third Secret.
Cardinal Ratzinger has stated that the Vatican explanation of the Vision portion of the Third Secret is not binding on the faithful.
The Third Secret concerns events in Chapter 12 of the Apocalypse, the Decisive Battle between Satan and the Church.
These events are still conditional and remain in the near future, since current events confirm that we are in Chapter 9 of Revelation - the Upheaval in a region of the world.

The Third Secret is so obvious now: It must explicate the Almost Destruction of the Church at the top via the Evil, Masonic, Modernist-laden, Vatican II Council, after which Paul VI, by 1969, disobeyed the Council of Trent's anathemas, and changed the Mass and The wording of six Sacraments, which no pope in all of Sacred History, if he were True to the Church, would do... This is logical or else why is there so much antipathy against publihing it back then?
The last five popes are five anti-popes, fulfilling the Dream of Pope Leo XIII about the Devil destroying the Church... The Great Apsotasy in which we live was not disclosed via the Third Secret--an act of disobedience by anti-pope John XXIII! It was to be published by 1960.
This Great Apostasy, as a punishment from God, is deeply and strongly depicted in an interview of Sister Lucy in 1957 given by the Mexican Priest, Father Fuentes, who was officially appointed assigned to investigate Sister Lucia Dos Santos' cousins for Sainthood...
Both were silenced after he published this powerful interview and its contnets were surpressed... So few people remember this very explicite interview, filled with portends... Father Fuentes was "fired" from his investigatory position too!

Okay. First, readers and movie-goers should study up on the Fatime miracle by visiting Rev. Fr. Nicholas Gruner's website -- THE Fatima Priest who has been publishing the Fatima Crusader since June of 1978. It's his group which cried " fowl " when JP II didn't release the entire third message of Fatima, in June of 2000. Second, " It isn't the Pope who is ' apparently ' shot dead. " IT'S THE BISHOP IN WHITE, HIS BISHOPS, PRIESTS, RELIGIOUS, AND PROMINENT LAITY !!!! Oops. Cardinal Bertone got it wrong, as well as then Cardinal Ratzinger and who was the Secretary of State for the Vatican, Cardinal Sodano. Lest we forget, because the Vatican's take on the message did, " In Portugal, excetera... " as Sister Lucia wrote. Okay, Church Militant, That's all.

Our Blessed Lady of Fatima foretold of the Bishop in White being killed not an assassination attempt. Your article is not entirely accurate. Many experts on this beautiful set of apparitions intimate that too. To claim otherwise is not true. Read the proper accounts of these events

'the attempted assassination of a Pope"
This is pure revisionism - in the revelation by The Virgin She tells of the actual assassination of a bishop in white.
Yes, he is killed (was it pope John Paul I?) & we presume the bishop is the pope.
John Paul II has got nothing to do with it.

anyone with a brain knows the consecration has not been done. russia continues to spread its errors with the help of other contries. the us is one of the best at this. join the traditional catholic rosary crusade,which started in may and ends in march for the bouquet of rosaries to be presented to the pope. 12 million rosaries are the goal to be given to the pope at the end of march. pray the rosary for the consecration of russia to mary's immaculate heart.

Why isn't Los Angeles one of the cities with a special screening? I've been wanting a remake of this film for years. I remember as a child seeing the original. That's what drove me to learn more about what happened. It increased my faith.

I hope this movie tells the real story of Fatima. Hopefully it is not some Vatican/spin version where the apparition of the pope who was seen to be killed, along with countless others,is portrayed as the failed attempt on the life of JPII. JPII is NOT the pope in the vision released as the entire Third secret on June 26, 2000.(There is BTW, much more to the secret than the 2000 revelation.) JPII survived, but this pope in the real vision is killed by soldiers firing guns and-arrows(a sign of Islam?) I also hope it does not claim that the consecration of Russia was done in 1984 by JPII. If it does, then this film will only confuse its viewers even more than they are already confused. Just look at the USA today. Need I say more?

Miracles of physical and spiritual healing continue to occur in Rome City Indiana. Like at Fatima, many people have experienced the Miracle of the Sun while on pilgrimage there. This is the site where Our Lady first appeared to Sr. Mildred in 1956 as Our Lady of America (see oltiv.org). It is canonically approved and reconfirmed in 2007 by AB Burke. It is the only time that Mary has appeared and referred to herself as Our Lady of America - she has never called herself Our Lady of any other country and stated also I am the patroness of your land. She asked the the U.S. return to purity and would then lead the world to peace. Help spread this devotion and pray for Her requests to be heeded.
