Refugees and persecuted Christians in Pope's prayers for August
Related articles:
.- Today, the Vatican published Pope Benedict’s prayer intentions for August. The Pope will be praying for refugees and for those who are persecuted in Christ’s name. Pope Benedict’s general prayer intention for August is “That public opinion may be more aware of the problems of millions of displaced persons and refugees, and that concrete solutions may be found for their often tragic situation.” His mission intention is “That those Christians who are discriminated against and persecuted in many countries because of the name of Christ may have their human rights, equality and religious freedom recognized, in order to be able to live and profess their own faith freely.” Subscriber comments:

I wish the Pope all power as he reminds us of refugees plight.
Love thy neighbour as thyself- why do we find this beautiful concept so hard. Once again the need for moral leadership arises. Within living memory of great atrocities, of absolute betrayal of human rights and respect for refugees, the leaders of the privileged West have forsaken refugees. While we brandish the international conventions with pride we erect walls to lock out the vulnerable begging to be given a place of safety. I thank the Pope for reminding us all of the rights of refugees and ask him to admonish and shame those who would forget that loving thy neighbour as thyself is a commandment to be treasured and observed.

God is Great. He loved us and that is why He gave life for poors. We are very thankful to our Holy Father for His Intention for the Refugee/Asylee and persecuted persons. It is hoped that all the countries including USA will give them shelters and look after them. God Bless USA.
