The transsexual man who attacked a priest at St. Babila in Milan

Milan, Italy, Jul 29, 2009 / 04:12 pm (CNA).- Police in Milan detained a Brazilian transsexual on Sunday after he stripped naked in front of the altar during Mass and began to attack the priest who was presiding over the Mass.

The incident occurred at the Church of St. Babila at the 8:30am Mass on Sunday.

According to ANSA news agency, the subject entered the church and approached the altar, where he stripped naked. “Afterwards he took a pole used by the sacristan to close doors and approached the celebrating priest. Several people in congregation tried to stop him, and the man went to the baptismal chapel and began striking a commemorative plaque full of money, which he tried to steal.

Police arrested the Brazilian man and charged him with theft, property damage, public disruption and resisting arrest.

I don't agree with their actions, but what does the Catholic Church expect? Like all religions it cuts people out who are different through no fault of their own. It calls them crazy, sick, perverted, against God, and encourages hatred towards them. Where are they supposed to go? They should be accepted into society the same as everybody else. It's not for anyone to judge them is it. Are they hurting you? Are they affecting your life in any way? No. Your business is your own, as is theirs. Stop trying to demonise everything and everybody that doesn't agree with a story called Catholicism.

this is evil and wrong I like how the media is deosnt even cover it! the devil easily brainwashes people like this! and to the guy in the board who said the catholic church does nothing noother institution has helped that many people as catholics they have helped tons of innocent,poor struggling poverty stricken people. and the catholic church has every write to say someone or something is evil!

I'm really not surprised this has happened. How do you expect someone from a group that experiences such persecution from the Church (in particular) to react? All the Church has to offer people like this is to tell them "you are evil" - I mean, come on!!! That is about as un-Christian as it gets.

A horrible act done out of hate due to ignorance, but not evil.

I recently heard a wise priest say no man is truely evil. Ignorant or stupid, but not evil. We are all capable of receiving God's love and redemption.

Yes, this will move along as if nothing of note occurred and if anything is mentioned by the media (the devil himself) it will be that the Catholic priest deserved it. We're going to Hell in a hand basket, for sure.

Today I read of such horrible actions against priests, of priests and their tragic deaths.
A young priest in India is murdered,with his naked body found by his overturned motor cycle, another priest who fathered a child by a nun and has not been defrocked in Italy, priests and bishop in Vietnam brutally tortured, another good priest and his teenage nephew drowned in the States, and now this! Now dont wonder about why a YEAR FOR PRIESTS declared by the Holy Father. Now let us get on our knees and pray for them!! God is calling us. Are we listening??

Regardless of what surgery or hormonal treatment they undergo, whatever they were born with and the type of chromosomes they carry are what they are. Looks like a man who is trying to LOOK like a woman. Once a he, always a he.

No Priest. No Eucharist. Isn't that what satan wants? Keep the faith, people! Stay in prayer - especially pray for all our priests. We'll probably be seeing more stories on the attacks to our priests. Our Holy Father declared this the Year of the Priest.

Uh, actually, if he's really a man who wants to be/become a woman, he's still a transexual man. That's the whole point; he's NOT a woman. The universality involved here, however, is that they are all--regardless of sex--sick. They need help; not political correctness.

All over the world there is breaking out various attacks on the Church from severe persecutions to incidents like this one. The revealed part of the 3rd Secret of Fatima shows this in a climactic way. But the Vatican gives an implausible interpretation that that vision is ALL IN THE PAST. Obviously NOT!

That's very odd.
Why do they target ONLY the catholic churches, priests and faithfuls in democratic countries?
Are these poor men (?) knowing that the struggle for their rights would be more remarkable and courageaous in a country like Egypt or Saudi Arabia where, according to the Sharia law, gays and transsexuals may incur at least a severe drubbing and possibly more, up to death penalty: I recommend them to attack a mosque and beat the Imams. Wearing a burquah would allow them to get in unnoticed easily.

I doubt that this story will appear in the mainstream news. And if it did appear, the attacker's transsexual "orientation" would not be mentioned.
