Mary of active silence

Mother of active silence,
what model
of him you give us,
what depth,
that of your love,
what promptness,
that of your answers,
what an exemplary opening
to pronounce the daring “yes”;
what readiness in the supportive
and evangelizing service
that strengthens in Calvary,
with your sweet
and tender immaculate heart,
pierced by the sword,
what hope and confidence,
awaiting the resurrection
of your son, our Lord,
what availability to the Spirit,
in the exercise of your maternity.

Mother of active silence,
luminous model,
of the possession of liberty,
our assistance
poor sinners,
most excellent teacher
of the Gospel,
help me
with your wise teachings
and maternal care,
so that I may live as well
the active and total silence,
