New poll shows 13 point McCain lead among Catholics

.- As the Tuesday elections approach, a new tracking poll from the Investor’s Business Daily shows Sen. John McCain leading Sen. Barack Obama among Catholics by 51 percent to 38 percent. Among all voters, Obama leads McCain 46.7 percent to 44.6 percent. Among Protestants, McCain leads 55 to 36 percent. The October 29-November 1 poll of 844 likely voters was conducted by TechnoMetrica Institute of Policy and Politics (TIPP) and claims a margin of error of plus or minus 3.4 percentage points. TIPP was named the most accurate pollster of the 2004 election for coming within three tenths of a percentage point of George W. Bush’s actual margin of victory. Subscriber comments:

Jack, I'd like to see the "Catholic vote" broken down between Catholic who go to Mass and those who don't. And please enlighten me: what's an IBD poll? I'm acronym-challenged.

Now we know that 38% of American "Catholics" aren't Catholic.

Say, I'm mixed up. Protestants favor "pro-life" McCain greater than we Catholics with all those great bishop-teachers we have. Straighten me out please. BTW have you followed the recent scandal over IBD polls. Jack
