Cardinal Sean P. O'Malley: the future father of nations, and most venerable bishop of the whole world.
Saint Francis predicted many times to the cardinal of Ostia, Ugolino, whose intimate friend he was, that he would be made pope, and he always addressed the little notes he used to send him in these words: "To the future father of nations, and most venerable bishop of the whole world." The event proved the truth of this prediction, for the cardinal succeeded Honorius III, under the title of Gregory IX.

His Eminence, Cardinal O'Malley, OFM, CAP of Boston is a great non beuracratic Cardinal, which is a rare thing for any Diocese in the USA. He is a people's Cardinal, huble, and full of compassion and care. Most of all, he is a NEW wave type of Cardinal Archbishop, who is: FITHFUL to ALL the Traditions of the One Holy Roman Catholic Church, and to dogma/doctrine. He is faithful to Pope Benedict XVI, and in my opinion, he, as the Pope realize the church has fallen into a misenterpretation of the ACTUAL Vatican II documents. One common error in today's world, the downplaying of what VATICAN II REALLY said in its 16 documents, and the left-wing so called erroneus "spirit" of Vatican II.

I think Cardinal Sean is cool! When I told my pastor that Cardinal O'Malley had a blog his comment was:"You'd think he'd have better things to do with his time." I say what JPII said:"Put out into the 'deep of the 'net'"!
God's blessings on Cardinal Sean's endeavor!

The cardinal had a tough requirement when installed in the Boston diocese...certainly correcting the abuses of his predecessor. The site resotred my respect for the Bishops. A real Franciscan.
