Chuck Norris unleashes attack on Obama over abortion

Chuck Norris

.- Action star Chuck Norris has written an essay defending the right to life, attacking Sen. Barack Obama’s stand on abortion and urging voters to “vote their values” in the upcoming election.

Writing for WorldNetDaily, Norris disagreed that abortion is an “old” issue that should be dropped.

“We can't just be concerned about our finances,” he wrote. “We also must be concerned about America's future and those who will occupy it. Our posterity matters. Their rights matter. And that includes their ‘unalienable Rights,’ with which they have been ‘endowed by their Creator,’ and among them are the quintessential rights: ‘Life, Liberty, and the Pursuit of Happiness’.”

Denying that abortion is about a woman’s “right to choose,” Norris insisted abortion is instead about a “more fundamental” right to life, adding that such a right is identified in the Declaration of Independence and in the U.S. Constitution.

“It is a violation of government's primary purpose: to protect innocent life,” he continued.

The action star then cited Thomas Jefferson, who in 1809 wrote: “The care of human life and happiness, and not their destruction, is the first and only legitimate object of good government."

Norris argued that Jefferson’s belief should still stand today, adding that “our next president needs to uphold those same concerns, not say that such arenas are ‘above his paygrade’.”

Norris attacked Obama’s stand on abortion, claiming the Democratic presidential candidate has “the most liberal views and voting record on abortion of any president in American history.”

Norris cited Obama’s opposition to legislation similar to the Born-Alive Infants Protection Act, which protects infants who survive an abortion attempt, and also noted Obama’s opposition to the partial-birth abortion ban and parental notification laws.

“He does not support the Hyde Amendment, which prohibits taxpayer funding of abortion through Medicaid,” Norris continued, citing Obama’s 2007 promise to the Planned Parenthood Action Fund to sign the Freedom of Choice Act.

According to Norris, the Freedom of Choice Act would again legalize partial-birth abortion.

“With the next president likely adding two justices to the U.S. Supreme Court, it is clear that as president, Obama would appoint and support the most liberal judges and legal eagles, resulting in a pro-abortion advantage in our courts that would push abortion liberties to every extent of the law and land,” Norris claimed.

Chuck Norris then argued that the Founding Fathers held that humanity is special and unique.

“We need to get back to a view of humanity that emphasizes the immortal worth of every human being,” Norris urged, noting that he has dedicated an entire chapter to the reclamation of the value of human life in his book “Black Belt Patriotism.”

“Winning the election is not just about what the underdogs -- such as John McCain and Sarah Palin, two maverick pro-life advocates -- should do. But it's about what the citizens who are fighting for the underdogs can do. We the people must stand up, go back to the basics, and once again vote our values,” Norris concluded.

God bless Mr. Norris. For years he has provided the youth of our country (and beyond) with an unimpeachable model of the virtuous and wholesomely masculine man. Now he goes well beyond that accomplishment and distinguishes himself by making a moral pro-life stance in a milieu that ridicules such a position. Again, I say "God bless him."

I've always liked (and feared) Chuck Norris, after all, he's the only man to count to infinity, twice. But I like him more and more the more I learns about him. A decent Christian man with true, solid American values. He's not afraid to say what he believes, he knows he has his fans, and if he loses some because of what he believes, he evidently doesn't seem concerned, which is highly admirable, particularly for a celebrity, particularly today. God Bless him...

Wow! So encouraging to read what Chuck said and believes. Maybe there is some hope in Holleywood. Let us all pray for the voices of the poor, our precious unborn children...those who have no voice but ours.

Mr. Norris has done an outstanding job. We need more people with INTEGRITY AND HONOUR such as his.
Further comment:
#1 A doctor takes an oath to do no harm.
#2. California sentenced a man to die for the killing of 2 persons. A woman AND UNBORN CHILD.
#3 Anyone who claims to be a christian and yet supports abortion on any terms is ignoring God's Word of the Bible. Read the penalties for harming a pregnant woman in the Old Testament. If you don't know where to find it, I rest my case.
More specifically, God is the giver of the Gift of Life. Jer 1 : 5.
#4. How about this. An Abortionist(doctor) dies, and on judgement day he stands before God. He asks God why he did not send anyone to cure cancer, aids, etc. Why he didn't send someone to help solve the world's biggest issues.
God answered him by saying, " I DID. You ABORTED THEM."
Bottom lime. Anyone who claims to be a Christian and supports abortion is ignoring GOD'S LAW and is therefore a HYPOCRITE and is truely NOT a Christian.

An answer to prayer! I pray that more courageous men (and women) like Chuck Norris stand up and unapologetically defend the innocent. I also refer to myself, that I too have the courage to defend innocent life, when I say this. He is what men should strive to be like.

The only black and white issue in this election is Abortion. All other issues have possible answers, Abortion doesn't. As a Catholic I have to vote my faith, Our Lord is not up for re-election and His position on this issue is clear. As a Christian, Viet Nam Vet and Patriot I agree with Norris, vote your faith and values not your pocketbook. Some things have always come before money. The Lord said He will always take care of our needs. That's better than either Canidate can promise.

Way to go, Chuck. It's true that all people deserve life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness and that goes for the PEOPLE in the wombs of mothers.

Btw, I have always beena fan. I liked your roles in Return of the Dragon with Bruce Lee, Th Octogan, Forced Vengeance, A Force of One, Eye for and Eye, and Sidekicks.

God bless Chuck Norris and all who see the increased horror of more abortions under a president Barack Obama.

I know of too many Catholics and Christians who will vote for Obama knowing his stance on the abortion issues.

Please pray for all American's moral judgment in the upcoming elections to stop the unmerciful killing of our defenseless unborn by electing pro-life candidates.

Chuck I like your "bully pulpit" You speak from the heart a basic truth, that life counts for all, and not just those with a voice.
