Spanish exorcist addresses claims of Satanic influence in Vatican

.- A renowned exorcist in Rome recently released a book of memoirs in which he declares to know of the existence of Satanic sects in the Vatican where participation reaches all the way to the College of Cardinals. A second demonologist, also residing in Rome, entered the debate this week, clarifying the origins of the information and defending the Vatican's clergy as an "edifying and virtuous" collection of prelates. In a book of memoirs released in February, the noted Italian exorcist Fr. Gabriele Amorth affirmed that "Yes, also in the Vatican there are members of Satanic sects." When asked if members of the clergy are involved or if this is within the lay community, he responded, "There are priests, monsignors and also cardinals!" The book, "Father Amorth. Memoirs of an Exorcist. My life fighting against Satan." was written by Marco Tosatti, who compiled it from interviews with the priest. Fr. Amorth was asked by Tosatti how he knows Vatican clergy are involved. He answered, "I know from those who have been able to relate it to me because they had a way of knowing directly. And it's something 'confessed' most times by the very demon under obedience during the exorcisms." The famous Italian exorcist was also asked if the Pope was aware of Satanic sects in the Vatican, to which Fr. Amorth replied, "Of course, he was informed. But he does what he can. It's a horrifying thing." Benedict XVI, being German, comes from a place "decidedly averse to these things," argued Fr. Amorth, saying that in Germany "there practically aren't any exorcists." However, he clarified, "the Pope believes (in them)." The Italian priest also warned of the existence of bishops and priests who do not believe in Satan in the interview. "And yet, in the Gospel, Jesus speaks extensively about it, so it should be said, either they've never read the Gospel or they just don't believe it!" Fr. Jose Antonio Fortea Cucurull, a Spanish priest and theologian who specializes in demonology and is now studying for his doctorate of theology in Rome, responded to Fr. Amorth's assertions on March 1. After reading reports of Fr. Amorth's accusations pointing a finger at members of the clergy, including cardinals, Fr. Fortea declared that it is a "duty of justice" to speak out in their defense. Noting that some prelates "are more spiritual and others more earthly, some more virtuous and others more human," he wrote on his blog, "from there to affirm that some cardinals are members of Satanic sects is an unacceptable distance." The Spanish priest then explained the sources of information used by Fr. Amorth to say that Satanic sects are operating in the Vatican. In addition to the people that seek help for demonic possession, said Fr. Fortea, "innumerable persons come to us who claim to have visions, revelations and messages from Our Lord." Among these, "a certain number offer apocalyptic messages and revelations about the infiltration of Satanism and the Masons within the dome of the Church." Fr. Fortea added that the only acceptable stance is to suspend judgment of the messages while they are subjected to time-intensive discernment, "sometimes months for each one of the cases." The other source Fr. Amorth refers to, according to Fr. Fortea, is the demons who are being exorcised. Of this, the Spanish priest wrote that knowing whether or not the demon is telling the truth "is in many cases impossible." "We can know with great confidence when a demon tells the truth in the subject directly related with the exorcism. That is, the number of demons, their name and similar things. But we cannot be confident in what regards concrete news relating to people." "Father Amorth does not have other sources of knowledge than the two that I just cited," indicated the Spanish exorcist, "I refer to his own words for this affirmation." Fr. Fortea observed that the existence of similar messages from the same sources is "something known by me just as (it has been) by many other colleagues for many years." "Among exorcists, some have come to similar conclusions as those of Fr. Amorth. Others have not." Fr. Fortea also defended those implicated in Fr. Amorth's statements, stating, "Our College of Cardinals, if we compare it with past centuries is the most edifying and virtuous that history has ever known. One would have to go back to the epoch of the Roman Empire to find a body of electors so distanced from all earthly pretension as the current one is. "Cardinals might be better or worse," he reflected, "but all have upright intentions and seek the glory of God." He concluded by emphasizing, "Statements must be proven, especially when they are about such grave accusations that affect the honorability of those who form part of the Head of the Church as far as they help the Supreme Pastor." If the vatican is not "satanic" why are there so many satanic symbols displayed in the basilica? The faith itself is probably pure but the vatican gives me caution to worry about its holiness. Christ said "do not build temples of gold in my name" The vatican is a complete contradiction to what Christ taught and what is preached in the Bible. The wealth in the vatican is vulgar with respect to all the poverty right outside the vatican walls. It is a complete double-standard to what the bible says. Figure it out for yourselves,,,my trip to the vatican cured me of any belief and respect for the vatican itself and made me pity the religion as a whole as the people are being deceived that believe in the Roman catholic church that is run by the vatican. So sad.

Well the problem of demonnic problem in the Vatican II church as a long trail of many year and time.... Myself I am a survivor of a cult. While their in the cult as a child I suffered numerious abuses..... The main guy that did abuse me while I was a kid lurned the black magic and white magic and all of it well protected secrecy of their so called power and mystery..... by a "catholic priest" while he was a young boy....... Not surprising at all for me to believe this horror and abuse made by and perpetrate by the vatican II council and what we are caling now the catholic church..... because I suffered from it and also my own perpetrator wich by the way do not absoloutly not excuse him from the acts done and imposes to myself and us in the most of cruel satanic and monstruous cruauty. Freemasonery as only one goal and it is to destroy and take away the innoncence of a child that become victim of their satanic hands souls and perverteds minds and desirs transforming the life of the "kid" becoming adult, then victim of montruous bastard into a torent of tears fears despair and hatress...

Jesus knows there will be scoundrels in the Church, even sitting on the Seat of Peter. Despite the fact that the historic successors of Peter were supposed to be "faithful and wise servants" such as Peter was, Jesus knew before hand that there will be among them (Matt 24:48-49) "wicked ones . . . , who beat his fellow servants, and who eat and drink with drunkards." To this wicked "successors of Peter" rest assured that they will get what are due them, which in the word of Jesus (Matt 24:51): "I will cut him to pieces and assign him a place with the hypocrites, where there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth." With all due respect to our American friends down south.In Canada we have a National Health Care program that is very effective & not diabolical.The Americans are denying over 32 million uninsured poor souls who cannot afford health insurance.Yes I agree with the Catholic Bishops that this Obama Bill is flawed because of the uncertainty of Abortion however many Americans are sick & cannot afford the health insurance & are going bankrupt! Yes I know; something NEW is hard to swallow for example;when Peter & Paul two of the greatest Saints for the Catholic Church preached this NEW Gospel of Christ; it was NEW & different! God had to pick a poor Black man(Obama) to change everything! You know why? because of bigots; who are rich & do not care for the poor man! Obama is a present day Jeremiah! social justice! The real crooks & thieves are the American Insurance companies! who do you think will benefit from these changes? it's the poor Latino Catholics in the USA! Please Catholics down south open your eyes! yes the Marian devotion is special however,remember Our Blessed Mother Virgin Mary is always pointing to her Son! To my fellow Catholics,
I tried to be the first to submit, online, but I could not get it published. Now, I try again. There is no doubt that even the supposedly most holiest of sites within our Catholic Christian faith, there would be traitors or "Judas Iscariots" in our Faith. Only God knows the hearts of each and every man that ever lived or has lived or will live. I would only ask that all of you should refer to CatholicPlanet or TheMostHolyFamilyMonastery, one purely Catholic in communion with our Church, the other sedevancantistic. Both are telling the truth: that indeed, since the first Vatican Council (I, not II), the Lord has sent visions and even His own Blessed Mother, Mary our greatest human boast in all of history in relation to God, about the darkness that has come to our Church, not the least all over the world as well. Now, after witnessing the ever defiant U.S. Congress passing health care reform, despite the opposition of the Catholic bishops (and the dissentive Catholic nuns), this Satanic influence has not only permeated the Holy See, but its effects are pervasive. Just attend a typical, non-Latin Mass anywhere, and one gets the feeling all the reforms that were intended by the Church did not come to the good fruit as they were intended. We advise: pray, confess, and be a firm witness for Christ, as to support and help our falliable Church leaders. A Marian-based announcement: prepare for Good Friday; lives will be changed! God speaks-AD+MG!

Mike proclaims the Catholic Church is the Anti-Christ? No the Catholic Church is not the Anti-Christ.The Church proclaims the Truth about Christ along with The Blessed Mother Mary & the Saints.Everyday we proclaim especially Sundays the Eucharist"The Body of Christ" how is that being the Anti-Christ? yes many members are sinners that we do proclaim.However with a believing heart we are justified & by proclaiming with our lips we are saved! No church in the world can claim a direct link to the original apostles? Peter given the Keys to Heaven "The Bishop of Rome" the Pope has full authority over all spiritual matters on earth! Authority given by Christ himself! Many Protestants who come back to the Catholic Church admit from day 1 that they were brought up to believe that the Catholic Church was the Anti-Christ; that is a Lie! matter of fact 41 Anglican Churches in Canada have announced today that they have accepted Pope Benedict's offer to re-join the Catholic Church & this is another thorn taken out of the Anglican Church's toe! as Christ mentions in scriptures the good & bad;the flowers & weeds will grow together however,at the end the weeds will be thrown into the eternal fire! my point the "other" churches like a weed pretending to be a flower grows with the flowers; however like in early summer the gardener comes by & destroys the weeds; welcome to hell!

It's interesting that there are many comments in this tread about the Freemasons infiltrating the Catholic Church.The Freemasons created the United States & still run it to this day...even though America appears to be a very Christian & Democratic Society; we have seen through recent history that when these Freemasons disagree with certain Presidential leaders they will use one sure method to destroy their legit Presidents by sexual misconduct! think of Bill Clinton as a example.Now think of the wayward liberal priests in the Catholic Church nowadays? We are starting to see the Masons using this to weaken the Catholic Church.Hopefully & I pray to the Blessed Mother Mary that she will exposed these crimes & purify the One True Catholic Church!

Can Satan or his minon's teach us about Christ? Yes. Mark: Jesus is casting out demons among the afflicted. " They the Devils helpers acclaim," You are the Son of God. " Christ commands them to not reveal this to anyone. When they were cast out they asked permission to enter the bodies of swines. Christ gave them permission to possess what is concerned unclean animals. This was taught to the Jews from Moses time in the old testement. Read Mark and you will find that the Minions knew who Jesus was. The son of God and yet they were commanded not to reveal him as it was not the time for this revolation. The old testiment as well as the new testiment reveals that Satan certainly was a fallen angel. The temptation was probably the orginal higher Satan, who has many names in history. He has permission to tempt all man until Jesus returns to this earth and remove evil for at least a thousand years. ( Who knows what a 1000 years means in Christ time ) temptations occur daily for us and we need to be mindful that Satan's job today has become rather easy. Pat

Father Amorth was just on CNN Tonight being interviewed at the Vatican.His main point was that the devil is just doing his thing.Yes the devil looks like he is making a push right up against the gates of St.Peter.Again the devil is a joker/always playing games.Another great point Father Amorth made was that if you Believe in the Gospel of Christ; then you will also know that the devil exist.Sometimes the devil has gotten very physical with his saints even; ask Father Pio! It's interesting even though the devil makes a bold move against "The Royal Priesthood" the Catholic Church stills gets some good TV coverage! Christ has said the whole world will see HIM coming from the clouds;even those who pierced him! because of Live TV on CNN & Fox News!

I've read all the comments. One does not need an organization for faith; faith is in your soul and heart and anyone can talk to God directly.
This is not the first time "black mass" discussion has been heard within the Vatican. A Cardinal stated directly in the 70s that he was alarmed there were black masses held in the Vatican. Whether or not it's true, who cares....hug a tree, be true in your faith and love one another.

I wish Benedict XVI would take the advice Pope Saint Pius X gives in his encyclical called "Pascendi Dominici Gregis," his masterpiece about Modernism. He says that, the higher a modernist tries to rise in the Catholic hierarchy, the lower you put him to limit his ability to damage the Church. Shouldn't satanic Vatican-prelates be demoted and deposed? The sooner the better, but I'm sure that won't happen during the current pontificate.

UK gentleman writes "devil does not exist? one lie leads to another lie"? your thesis on the devil & God is bizarre? ask a biker; Hell's Angel or Satan's Choice bike gangs if they believe in the devil? they will say hell ya! looks like you need to reexamine your conscience & it's a great time to do this being Lent! the devil already has you fooled because his main mission is to make you all believe he does not exist! try this for a little exorcism in the confines of your own home.Say a decade of the rosary (10 Hail Marys- for you pagans) & you can do this without telling anyone then see how your soul reacts? with hostility? then you know a demon is in you or a demon is close by.The demons even cringe at the words HAIL MARY FULL OF GRACE!the Lord is with thee!

There is a certain relationship between God and the devil.
One lie leads to another lie.
God and the devil cannot exist separately. If one is accepted, the other has to be accepted.
You cannot think of God without the devil; you cannot think of heaven without hell.
The polar opposite is absolutely necessary.
The religions who believe in God have to declare that the devil is a reality.
If the devil is only a fiction, then their God also is a fiction.
The reason behind this declaration is not to prove the reality of the devil, but to support the reality of God.
If God is the thesis, then the devil is the antithesis.
And the misery of the whole world is that the people who have been teaching God, love, good, have not been aware of the polar opposites which are coming in automatically.
You will be surprised to know that there are religions in the world which don't have any devil:
Taoism in China has no devil;
Jainism in India has no devil;
Buddhism has no devil.
But the most surprising thing for you will be that all these religions don't have God either.
The devil has not done any wrong in the world, he does not exist.
God does not exist either, but he has done immense harm...

Have you been to a Catholic Shrine where the Blessed Virgin Mary appeared? this is not a fraudulent shrine because it has brought many Christians around the world to pray.I have been there & Fatima in Portugal.The late Pope John Paul II had made the Fatima message his main message of peace to convert Russia to the True Church part of that message was to avoid war between Russia & the USA! in the 60's....war was diverted & believe it or not averted by the only Catholic President ever John F Kennedy!if JFK was not there; we would have had our first nuclear bomb.

This is Christ's Body on earth & yes because of scandal;like cancer in certain parts of the body we suffer greatly;Catholics will always perservere through trouble times!

Wonderful this Saturday night to find that the majority of the comments here support the insights of Fr. Amorth. But I also realize that this man himself has been embedded in the Vatican for all the decades which have followed the abomination in the Holy place, my rhetorical description of the Satanic Council called Vatican II. At this late date, in addition to the Sex Scandals and the Annulment Scandals and the two-faced Vatican policy towards Communism (and Pope John Paul II was a longterm Soviet agent during the years of his priesthood in Poland), I want to ask -- Of what value is an invalid Mass, invalid ordinations, a ridiculous Sacrament of Reconciliation and its associated so-called "penances", and an INVALID EUCHARIST? Will all Catholic churchgoers pray for divine mercy at the moment of death, on the basis of a defense of 'invincible ignorance'? So many know the truth, but cannot handle it. In the light of truth shining out from the eyes of Our Lord, such a plea of 'ignorance' will not be an honest one.

In response to a previous comment:There is no Rosary in the Bible? my friend the rosary represents the Life of Christ from the Annunciation"Luke 1,28 to the Crucifixion Luke 23,46....The Blessed Virgin Mary is the Queen of the Apostles! given Authority by God to choose whomever she wishes!(even Christ himself would keep quiet when his Mother spoke) many Catholic Saints have professed this throughout the centuries! she is also very important to CRUSH Satan's head! & also the Virgin Mary was the very 1st Christian not even the apostles were picked before her.The Eucharist is not in the bible? what Bible are you reading? you are not obviously invited to the banquet,the Last Supper,Do this in memory of me!(The Mass) whoever eat's my body will live forever...whoever does not eat my body;will not have life in them.

I always respected Father Amorth. He knows what he is talking about because he has been battling for many years at the borderline against Satan and other demons. If the Roman Catholic Church falls into pieces because of the overweight of sin, Jesus and Mary will not leave us alone. We are called each one of us to turn to God with all our hearts and put our confidence only in Him. His Church is a spiritual Church and we will see His glory after the chastisement we will have to go through. Lets be strong, pray and hold together, do not despair!

It troubles me that many people have he mistaken impression that they have to EARN their way to heaven. You need to read: "For by GRACE you have been saved through FAITH, and that not of yourselves, it is the GIFT of God not of WORKS, lest anyone should boast." Eph.2:8-9.
Now if anyone is given a gift, it is free because if you had to work for it or be holy or righteous enough to receive it, then it wouldn't be a gift now would it? So if you genuinely accept Jesus Christ as your Lord and Saviour, and are genuinly sorry for you sins, then let HIM do the work in you to grow in grace and holiness. On your own you can never do it.
He promises to forgive everyone who comes to HIM sincerely no matter what you're guilty of in the past. He will wipe away your sins and fill you with the Holy Spirit to guide you on your journey.
So please stop worrying about the absence of a priest for some reason. The Lord will watch over His own and keep you in all things.

There are many warnings of last days apostasy, wolves in sheeps clothing, false prophets etc. I would think if nothing else that everyone understands the gospel..Jesus is the ONLY way the TRUTH and the LIFE. NO denomination, nothing else can do. Any one who believes HE DIED ONCE and for ALL who bleive is SAVED. Men never saved anyone. Scripture tells us we are not to bow to anyone, call anyone FATHER but the G-d of the bible in Jesus name. There IS no other name given among men where by we must be born again. the disciples asked Jesus, what must we do to be saved? Jesus said ONLY BELIEVE...NOT by works least anyone boast..WE are to pray to G-d in Jesus name, PERIOD. and HE paid IT ALL. and tells us ABSENT from the body is to be prsent with the L-rd. HE also warns of the other Jesus and other gospel. WE are not to pay to anyone else PERIOD.. Believe G-d rather than men. blessings

The catholic church has nothing to do with Christianity. Jesus is the head of His Church. The pope is the head of the catholic church. We are saved by grace through faith in Jesus, not by works. The catholic church teaches that we are saved by grace that comes from the "sacraments" of the church - works. Mary said "My soul has rejoiced in God my Savior" - she needed a savior like anyone else, and could never be a "co-redeemer". Read the Bible. There is no co-redeemer. There is no rosary in the Bible. The eucharist is not in the Bible. The vatican is not in the Bible. The catholic church teaches idol worship, praying to the dead, and that men can forgive sins. The Bible teaches the opposite. Read it, not the teachings of the vatican. Since everything the vatican teaches and does is in defiance of God's word, it's serving satan even if they don't call it satanism, so why would it not be full of satanists?

Being a practising Roman Catholic,the Church can be influenced by Judas the One disciple who betrayed Christ.Out of every 12 priests/12 Cardinals/12 Bishops & even 12 Popes there will always be one who betrays the Church.Looking at the bigger picture one of Judas's favourite disciple was Luther a great Catholic monk who turned on the Catholic Church in Germany & has led many astray with the False Protestant religion! To "protest" against the Catholic Church because that's what "protestism" is all about.Like going on strike "to protest" you do end up with minimal graces.Say the rosary everyday & you WILL experience PEACE.God Bless, John!

I guess I just see the devil in my own actions and those of others when we are so inclined to deliberately disobey God and the teachings of Jesus Christ.To grieve the Holy Spirit is to be unappreciative of the graces that God has provided us through Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior. I have listened to several of Fr Fortea's homilies which were posted on his parish website. I heard him deny the exitance of original sin in one of his homilies. That tells me a great deal about Fr Fortea. I am convicted that anything he says is suspect, I do not trust him at all.

I must right away say that I do believe that Father Amorth has occasionally said things that, while interesting and certainly plausible, are nevertheless imprudent. The same could be said of Malachi Martin, who I have met. There is always a nagging question in my mind after reading or hearing the comments of these two priests.
Having said that, Father Fortea, who began his discussion in a fairly reasoned way, threw his credibility into the toilet when he began rhapsodizing about the current crop of Cardinals, many of whom are totally unworthy of the cloth they disgrace. To call this sorry bunch "the most edifying and virtuous that history has ever known" is, to put it charitably, patently ridiculous.
If I were asked to give advice to both Fathers Amorth and Fortea I would advise them both to quietly and carefully judge their words before committing them to print.
As for satanism in the Church? Why not? Is the evil one going to stop at the foot of the Tiber and not try to corrupt the Church up to the very top? Are there actual satanic rites going on in the Vatican? I cannot say, but I wouldn't be a bit surprised. If the foul stench of homosexuality can be so common in our clergy (a tipoff that the devil has already made significant inroads) why cannot satanism be? They are both cut from the same cloth after all.

When Father Malachi Martin appeared on the Art Bell Show in the late 1990s, he told Art that exorcisms in NYC had increased either 600 or 800%!(Can't recall the exact answer, but anything over 100% should surely be considered to
be quite terrible!) Even more frightening was his description of those "Perfectly possessed." Those who had made a 'deal with the devil' without even being aware of it! Malachi Martin who declared that the Vatican had been "officially" dedicated to Satan in the 60's and rites were ritually perform such as Black Masses complete with child sacrifice....He was eventually well lets say his life ended suddenly and unexpectedly without motive, or suspect. Yet, does not the Revelation of St. John say those fighting it (and being martryed) in these "end times" will be especially hard-pressed? THAT is the reason for the need of discipline in the spiritual life... as well as the suffering we undergo (which builds our strength for the "final battle")... Satan WILL be conquered! I realized during this mission last night--that God uses Satan as His instrument to bring about all our good--in the end... because He is merciful and compassionate--does not want to lose anyone. Not denying the work involved in this! Have no fear--God is in charge--work at though your life depended on it (because it does)! Hearsay is not permissible in any court of law, including those of canon law. Fr. Amorth needs to exercise greater prudence; he must shy away from making such rash accusations against his colleagues and superiors if he desires to continue to be taken seriously. I fear the good priest's work has exacted too great a toll on him, and he is now losing his grip on reality. We must pray for him and consider everything he says with a grain of salt.

Fr. Amorth is a truthful person. I've never met him. I have his books and have always looked up to him. There is much evil going on inside the Church. We all need to just pray, receive the sacraments and be charitable. We must also be equipped as true apologists for the Church. St. Paul has used athletic-like and soldier-like language in his Epistles. We must be strong soldiers for Christ in this battle for souls. St Paul tells us: "For our wrestling is not against flesh and blood; but against principalities and powers, against the rulers of the world of this darkness, against the spirits of wickedness in the high places" Ephesians 6:12. I agree much of what people have said on here. It's terrible what has all happened in the Church, families, and society. We are in the last times. Jesus loves us and will return one day.

I would appreciate it if someone truly in the know would enlighten me on the masons and the truth about their manipulations in the world and our Church. I have a stepson who is a fine young man, however, he is a serious mason. He fell away from the Church many years ago after his father and mother were divorced. Since his marriage to a lovely young woman just several months ago, they go to her church, Episcopal, which has a window in the rear with the symbol of the freemasons. I was appalled! Jesus warned there would be wolves in sheep's clothing so this should neither shock or surprise us BUT the devil is also shrewd and it is curious timing that just at a time when the pope is rallying the cardinals and bishops of the Church to strive for greater personal holiness and to be proactive shepherds guiding and protecting their flocks from error you have this "information" which undermines trust so it is quite plausible that these "demons" are telling lies to further destabilise and discourage believers. Um... so what exactly passes for "Satanic Sects" these days? If they mean priests that support condom use or women's ordination, I can understand their concern for "dissent" within their ranks, but if they're literally talking about bishops and other clergymen gathering in secret chambers at midnight to perform blasphemous Black Masses with naked women on the altar, then I'm afraid that the Vatican has become too delusional for its own good.
Perhaps they should devote more time rooting out child molesting priests and other real problems, rather than chasing around imaginary devil-worshipers. Makes me wonder if anything has changed in Rome for the past two millenia.

Twenty years ago while I was the principal in a Catholic school, I had students dabbling in Satanism, and called a diocesan priest recommended from the ch ancery. The psychologist priest, who now holds a very high position in the diocese, told the kids there is no such thing as Satan or the devil; that Lucifer was a metaphor as is most of the Bible. AT the same time, my own children, same diocese, were being told in their Catholic high school that there is no hell, purgatory is a joke from the Middle Ages and that cohabitation and casual sex were not the biggies that earlier generations had been plagued with through sex-starved priests and nuns. Needless to say, this diocese in serious trouble. For my students in my school, they were in luck. As an anti-dote I brought in an old monsignor who was knwon by secular healthcare workers for the profound healings that came through him when he prayed for the sick at their bedside. After several of my students "rested in the spirit" anything the cool, modern, handsome priest had said previously, was quickly forgotten. Though I cannot imagine that a single one of these modernists would ever read these comments, I would rather not identify the city, just let's say it's in New York state.

There is something wrong with that spanish exorcist's comments regard to the former chief exorcist of Rome, Fr. Gabriele Amorth's claim. It sounds like he knows vatican better than Fr. Amorth, who is a residence and an exorcist there for most of his life. I have a list of former bishops, cardinals, and priests who werefreemason members and were quite active in vatican in the past 50 years.
The spanish exorcist needs to do more research and investigation before he can open his mouth to speak; Otherwise, he could be a victim used by Satan himself without acknowleged it.

A once prominent scholar and writer by the name of Malachi Martin who wrote the book Hostage To The Devil (The Exorcism of Six Living Americans) also was quoted that Satanic worship is practiced within the walls of the Vatican and he had knowledge of that fact! Very ironic was the fact the Malachi Martin predicted that he would be killed by one of these practicing "satanist's" within the Vatican in order to silence him! He was correct! His body was found outside his apartment in winter (he was a victim of a stroke)! Any person who believes that Satan has NOT entered into the highest echelons of the Vatican hierachy is deluding himself/herself! Satan, the master of deceit, lies, and murder starts with those cardinals who can easily be swayed with the promise of "power, and self-agrandisement! This is his modus operandi and has been working since Adam and Eve!

Everybody is aware of the famous and scaring statement of Paul VI: "Through some cracks the smoke of Satan entered the Temple of God (the Church)".
Until now I never heard from any Pope that the smoke of Satan had been forced out successfully.
Therefore I am proner to believe Fr Amorth than Fr Fortea.
Of course the greatest part of the Vatican prelates are holy and pious men, but there are a few black sheeps, evil men, whose agenda is to destroy the Church from inside.
Long ago, the late Fr Malachi Martin testified in one of his books of satanic practices in the very bosom of the Vatican. His mysterious and violent death probably was the revenge of Satan.
On other hand a long list of masonic prelates had been published 10 years ago that never was contradicted.

Judas was an apostle, a bishop, and arguably for his era a "cardinal", and scripture records that at the Last Supper (Mass) "Satan entered into him" to betray Christ, so don't trust anybody which makes a sweeping generalization that "all cardinals are good." Every age has seen corrupt prelates though the majority seek to do good even when they sometimes fail. By their fruits you shall know them, even it if takes a while after their deaths for the truth to emerge. It is known that Communism at its height ( and freemasonry) planted brilliant young men to seminaries to rise through the ranks and subvert the church from within, and so they have. Suspect the ones who give lip service to the Pope but drag their heels obeying him; suspect the teachings of the religious orders which do the same. Evil can fake every virtue except humility, which is only known through OBEDIENCE.

Of course the devil is trying to influence the Church. Look at the readings from a couple of weeks ago. Satan tempted Jesus in the desert. If he tempted Jesus why wouldn't he tempt the Church hierarchy. It would be nieve and dangerous to think anyone is exempt from this. Satan knows that if he can get the shepherd he has the whole flock.

right or wrong, I do not see Fr Gabriel Amorth as someone who is in this business for personal attention or accolades. He has been expelling demons all his life, a thankless work of humility if you ask me. Does anyone think he would jeopardize his soul and standing with God by being wreckless and accusational towards his fellow priests lest he thought there was a grave need for speaking out? Right or wrong on the idea there may be a cardinal involved in the occult, the fact remains that the clergy is satan's primary target for destruction and he has succeeded in that many times, most recently in the sex scandals and cover ups. None of this should come as a surprise to a devout lay Catholic. What is at stake in this world is of the greatest magnitude imaginable. Only an ignoramous or a fool would ignore the gospels and the warnings.

Our parish prays the Hail Mary, the Anima Christi,the Saint Michael the Archangel and a few other short prayers after the eucharist. It's a wonderful feeling of togetherness as a church. I don't like masses at some churches where everybody bolts out the door right after communion. Talk to your pastor. It might take a few weeks for people to get used to it, but it will be well worth it. And, I think the church is in good hands with Pope Benedict,who is an intelligent man and has done so much for the church in just a few years.

Fr. Fortea needs to attend an exorcism with Fr. Amorth conducting, and when the evil spirit reveals itself and answers the questions commanded by Fr. Amorth during the rite...well then Fr. Fortea may change his opinion. Even the twelve, with Christ amoung them, had a traitor in their mist, this shouldn't surprise anyone. We must remain vigilant every waking moment of our lives.

I have read all of Father Amorth's books. I have just read Father Fortea''s recent book ...all on the subject Exorcism. When a person writes something, there is always a particular "tone" or "spirit" in the words. The only "spirit" that is prevalent in something that is anointed by the Holy Spirit will be the presence of Truth in CHARITY. When I read Father Amorth, there is a sense of Charity. When i read Father Fortea, there was not...but rather, one of Justice. The contact received via reading of their books "exudes" two different spirits. Read them for yourself and then you will know how to pray for each, in the Merciful Heart of the Father in Heaven.

Fr Fortea does not list the basis of his stance and is speculative and highly his opinion. At least a basis is there supporting Fr Amoth's position. Fr Fotea's opinion is contrary to listed realities in catholic church history regarding the betrayal of Christ high standing officials: Caiphas, Judas, Pharisees, Scribes, Anti-popes, heretics and apostasy abound: wolves in sheep clothing. Our Lord says the gates of hell will not prevail. Those wicked fools need to be very fearful of steppin to the Spirit of God: see Act chapt 5 Ananias and Sapphia...Pharoah was dumb too...their presence attempt to corrupt the holy ones: nothing but darnell among the wheat. My personal opinion is that the "Smoke of Satan" appeared during the Vatican II Conferance, and has only increased, especially in these latter years. Bruce, Fr. Fortea is book smart but he is blind. Even one of Our Lord Jesus' disciples was processed by satan and sold Our Lord for 20 pieces of silver. Fr. Gabriele Amorth has been an expert exorcist for a long time and I have read a couple of his books. I don't think he cares about selling books. I think he wants everyone to be aware of satan. Please note that quite a few cardinals disobey the Holy Father. One recently went to say Mass at the place ban by the Holy Father, where a fraudulent claim of Blessed Mary--queen of peace--apparition for more than 40,000 times. There are many things going on in Vatican that you probably did not have a chance to pay attention to. Fr. Gabriele Amorth is corrected.

It is important to discern the Holy Spirit and I believe Fr. Amorth has been in this ministry long enough to know what is occurring at the highest levels of the Church. Pope Paul VI said in 1976 that "The smoke of satan has entered into the bowels of the Church. We need to pray for priests that God guide and grant them the eyes to see what is really happening: sin and hell are the two deadly words know longer spoken about in homilies. WHY? Father Amorth is completely accurate on this - I question the defense and origins of the defense Father Fortea is putting up. Me doth think he protesth too much! There is also evidence of Mason influence within the church among the clergy, bishops, and yes even Cardinals. Remember Judas was the first priest to turn bad - but not the last. We need to pray for all of our priests but especially Father Fortea. May God open his heart and mind to his wisdom and the truth. The Lord Jesus said it to Peter:" you are peter and upon this rock I will build My Church and the gates of hell will not prevail against it".Accordingly, the evil one will never prevail in the church which Christ founded. This is despite the fact that the" smoke of satan" vents its ugly smell, every now and then, through the scandals and divisions in the church, which we hear and read about.That is why Fr. Amorth's assertion that the evil one has influence among the clergy should not surprise us.But for Fr. Amorth to say that from among his souces are the "confession" of a demon, whom we know is a disciple of the father of lies, makes one wonder how could Fr. Bruce you imply that Fr. Amorth is being sensational to sell a book. That is a slander that you should rectify. You, along with Fr. Fortea, doubt the veracity of his sources. Fr. Fortea cites two sources: people who have come forth with personal revelations about satans attack on the church through masonry, etc. That satan attacks the church is fact. That he does so through masonry is a fact. One way to undermine those facts would be to imply that they have their source in dubious personal revelation. I’m not buying it. The second source cited are the very demons Fr. Amorth spent his life combating. But Fr. Fortea would like us to believe that the demons who revealed this to Fr. Amorth were lying; that there is no satanic infiltration into Holy Mother Church. Why would a fallen angel tell Fr. Amorth, under pain of his holy examination or not, that there was satanic infiltration into the heart of Holy Mother Church, when there was none? Wishful thinking on the demon’s part? To use your own verbiage, I’m not buying it.
Once again, the lawyer approach doesn’t wash. All anyone need do is look around at the state of Holy Mother Church. By their fruits ye shall know them.

I believe Fr Amorth. One of our popes had a list of members of the Masonic order of Cardinals in a drawer in a side table. He "died" mysteriously. Of course the list disappeared. Pope John Paul appointed many new Cardinals to minimize the affects of the influence of the "other" Cardinals. The Church is infested, there's no doubt. But prayers of the faithful will keep her alive and well.

Unfortunately, Fr. Fortea seems to play politics. This is not the first time. Read his book, "An Interview With An Exorcist". He likes to hedge his bets, he almost rides the fence on some of these important issues. Whereas Fr. Amorth knows there is no time to play these games. He knows the battle is real and could not care less of what people think about the truth he speaks. Personally, I applaud him. We need more priests like him.

With all due respect, Fr. Amorth is not infallible. Having read two of his books, there are some assertions of his that are not supported by Church doctrine. For example, he mentions that a demon once told him that God had not even thought of hell -- that it had in effect been prepared by the demons themselves. Yet the Gospel is clear about the existence of hell, and that it was prepared by God for the devil and his angels (Matthew 25).
Similarly, Malachi Martin made similar accusations, yet his reliability is also in question. In my mind, the best course of action is prayer for the Church, and hope in the Lord's promise that the gates of hell would not prevail against the church.

This should not be a surprise to anyone. Jesus Himself said, "Peter, Satan has desired to sift you as wheat, but I have prayed for you, and when you have turned again, strengthen your brethren." This is where the battle is folks. Pray for these men, and for the church. The gates of hell will never prevail against it. That doesn't mean that hell will not assail it.

Correct me if I'm wrong but didn't one of the popes talk about 'the smoke of Satan' rising through the church? Also, Pope Leo XIII composed a famous prayer to Saint Michael the Archangel which used to be said at every Mass, composed after a terrifying vision. Why aren't we saying this prayer right here, right now? Why aren't we hearing more about the reality of hell and satan? We need more people like Fr Amorth and his ministry in the church to meet these things head on and to drive home the reality of satan and evil.

I am with Father Fortea on this, and not for obvious reasons (which he agrees with as well). Father Amorth's sources are extremely suspect, if not downright dismissible completely. It sounds like a great way to sell a book, but a terrible form of research, if it could even be called that. As a graduate researcher myself, I don't care what the subject of research was...if the sources are this poor, don't buy it.

Christ said, "by their fruits ye shall know them."
Rampant buggery and molestation in the Holy Priesthood, to which the bishops turn a blind eye. The US bishops conference in bed with pro abortion, homosexual groups. The Holy Eucharist surrounded by what amounts to a mockery of liturgy in way too many parishes.
I believe Fr. Amorth. And I also believe in Christ when he promised that the gates of hell would not prevail.
Pray your rosaries and pray them hard and often.

Nobody should be surprised by this news. "Traditional" Catholics have been sounding the alarm about Satan and his Masonic, modernist and liberal minions inside the Church since Vatican II.
