Daniel Nicholas Cardinal DiNardo is the current Archbishop of Galveston-Houston, Texas and Cardinal-Priest of S. Eusebio. He was born May 23, 1949 in Steubenville, Ohio, USA and ordained a priest of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania on July 16, 1977. He was later appointed Coadjutor Bishop of Sioux City, Iowa which became Bishop of Sioux City. In 2004, he became Coadjutor Bishop of Galeston-Houston, Texas and Archbishop just two years later. On February 20, 2008 at the age of only 58, he was installed Cardinal-Priest of S. Eusebio making him the first Cardinal from the Southern United States. He later became a member of the Pontifical Council for Culture and works towards creating a universal (Catholic) culture of truth.
