St. John Paul II Rwamishenye Church in the Diocese of Bukoba in Tanzania and the parish’s rectory have been destroyed after a strong storm Oct. 18.
“We are witnessing the persistence and worsening of insecurity, especially in the eastern part of our country,” the bishops stated June 22.
The diocese said Father Jeremiah Yakubu from Holy Trinity Parish in Karku was taken from the rectory at about 11 p.m. on Sunday.
