The Australian Outback is one of the emptiest regions of the entire globe. Miles upon miles of land. Dust, rocky outcrops, and bugs.

"You've got the sand, the sky," said Bishop Columba Macbeth-Green, who leads the Diocese of Wilcannia-Forbes. "Just saying, ‘wow, the sky goes from there to there. It's flat...It's the most remarkable thing to actually see so much blue sky without a cloud. It goes everywhere."

"It's just awesome. You can feel God with you in a place like that."
